“Speechless by Jennifer Mook-Sang is a book worth talking about. Kids will talk about how funny the book is. They'll get how Joseph Alton Miles. J.A.M. aka Jelly tries his best to deal with normal situations that you run into as a sixth-grader. Teachers and librarians will talk about how the author links topics like friendship, public speaking and bullying together into a story that kids can relate to. Parents will talk about how funny but thoughtful the writing of Jennifer Mook- Sang is. Jennifer writes with great humour and the experience of raising two boys. She really knows how kids like Jelly talk, act and think. The author writes in an easy style with believable characters dealing with "the stuff" that kids deal with.

Talk about a good book ... you should talk about Speechless by Jennifer Mook-Sang.”

“I finished Speechless last night in a marathon session - because I didn't want to put it down! And I wanted to tell you I enjoyed it - and that in particular, the part where Jelly has detention in the library and in the end has to make sentences going through the dictionary....I laughed till I cried. :o)”
